The University of Florida will offer a three-week pre-dental summer program in July 2013. This is an immersion program that gives pre-dental students an overview of the dental profession via dental workshops, rotations through UF's different specialty dental clinics, simulation lab projects, networking activities and more. They focus on developing stronger applicants to dental school by offering interview, financial aid and DAT workshops. The program is free and provides scrubs, room and board to all participants. The program targets, but is not limited to, students of educationally or economically disadvantaged backgrounds and/or of ethnic minority status. For more information, please visit the following link.
There is a general rule at USF which states that students are not permitted to count a course for a major and a minor. There are limited exceptions to this rule. If you are pursuing a track in which this might be an issue, please double check with your departmental major and minor advisors to clarify whether or not you are able to overlap any courses.
