Thesis permits have not been entered yet. It will be several more weeks. Please do not worry and do not ask your advisor; s/he does not do that.
The Honors College has moved to ADM 241. We have significantly more space, including 5 classrooms. Of course, there is a computer lab and a study lounge.
Seats still available
Seats are still available for Dr. Marshall&rsquos section of IDH 3100-023, for continuing students, on the topic of Medicine and Literature. The class is on Wednesdays from 9:15 &ndash 12:05.
University of South Florida/Lehigh Valley Health Network SELECT MD Program
The USF College of Medicine is now accepting applications from prospective medical students for a program jointly created by USF COM and Lehigh Valley Health Network to prepare physician leaders to passionately serve patients and transform healthcare in the 21st century.

USF AHEC is pleased to announce the offering of a 30-hour AHEC Summer Medical Spanish course.  This course is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 7th &ndash July 7th from 5:30 &ndash 8:30pm (at the College of Medicine, MDA 1096).  The cost of the course and materials is $75.00.  Please see the brochure below for more info.  The deadline to register is May 20, 2011.
This Geographical Perspectives & Major Works/Major Issues course will include a voyage to the City of Knowledge in Panamá. Students will synthesize their classroom and international experiences in order to learn about the social, political, and economic situation in the developing world, focusing on a comparison between the U.S. and Panamanian health care systems. This course should appeal to students with a strong sense of adventure, a curiosity about our expanding global society and a desire to make a difference. Honors College students of all academic levels and from all majors are encouraged to apply for the course. Florida Sea Grant offers a wide range of scholarship and fellowship opportunities for undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students. The Aylesworth Scholarship, for example, will pay a student up to $10K per year for the duration of their degree program and is open to any FL university student working in a marine related field.

Support Technician for Computer Labs
This position requires substantial knowledge of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.  Knowledge of Windows operating systems and networking also is required.  The candidate will be responsible for preparing computers for connection to the computer network that supports the classrooms and computer labs by imaging or upgrading hardware and/or software.  The employee also provides desktop support for the labs, including setting up, troubleshooting or diagnosing issues with hardware, software, peripherals, printers, and networking and then initiates repairs.  The candidate must be available to work Friday evenings, some Saturdays, and daytime hours during the week.  Some lifting is required.
The USF BRIDGE Healthcare Clinic is looking for an undergraduate student to work as a Clinic Manager. Flexible hours approximately 20 per week. Duties include scheduling patients, working with attendings and volunteers. Training will be provided. Spqanish fluency required. For futher information, contact. Fauzia Riaz at FRiaz@health.usf.edu.
