Honors College

Dean's Update:

If you are registered for the first semester of Thesis in the Fall semester and you are not sure of what you wish to do, read on:

We will once again have our Thesis Preparation course offered on Fridays from 9:00-9:50 here in the Honors College.  Three of our outstanding (and favorite) professors will help you determine and develop a topic and find a mentor, all in 8 weeks!  If you know what you want to do for your thesis, these sessions are not for you.

You must reserve your space in the seminar series; the faculty can only handle a limited number of students.  If you are interested, email Dr. Fogel at:

  • Medical Masters Program

Did you know about the Honors College Pipeline program with USF Health? Please read below.

If you are a pre-health student and unsure of what you are doing in the Fall 2014 semester, do consider USF one-year medical master's program that is designed to address common application shortcomings for future MD/DO/DMD/DVM/DPT/PA students. The application deadline is currently set for June 1, 2014, but will likely be extended until July 1, 2014, therefore allowing pre-health students ample time to get their applications in. If you are an Honors College student, you are encouraged to think about this option.

Every year USF MCOM's pre-professional program accept students from virtually every state in the country and our graduates go on to health professional schools in every state as well.  If you are looking for an academic option beyond the typical post-bac program, and are hoping to not incur a massive amount of debt due to financing other second choice options that grant master's degrees, then this in-state master's program might be a good fit!

If you would like additional information on this program, or have questions about the admissions process, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Mejias at, or the Christina Brown-Wujick at, Admission recruiter/Advisor for the USF Morsani College of Medicine.
