Home > Honors College Admissions Requirements
The Honors College offers tracks for both first year students and transfer/continuing students. You and an Honors College advisor will determine the appropriate
track for you during orientation.
First Year Students
Students who enter Honors as first year students must present:
3.8 cumulative high school GPA (as calculated by USF) and
an SAT I score of 1300 with a minimum verbal score of 580 OR an ACT
Composite score of 29 with a minimum English score of 29
All students who meet these
requirements receive an invitation to join the Honors College once they
have been admitted to USF. It is important to apply early, as scholarship
assistance is only guaranteed up to a certain date each semester. For

Transfer/Continuing Students
Students entering the Honors College as transfer/continuing students must present:
3.5 cumulative and (if appropriate) USF GPA based on 45
college or university level credits. You must have successfully
completed one full semester of coursework as a degree
seeking college student.
